I had an opportunity at my day job to brainstorm some ideas for an illustrated character that would be representative of a teacher.

I currently work in educational publishing and my company wanted a friendly face to connect directly to classroom teachers. I had no direction at all other than “friendly”, so I tried to come up with as many styles and as much diversity as I could.

These sketches were fun to do and it was a real challenge to find as many shapes as I could to differentiate each concept from another.
